MountainTop Masterworks II: Mei-Ann Chen Conducts Appalachian Spring

Conductor Mei-Ann Chen is back to celebrate the connection between folk and classical in this concert. Featuring our most requested piece: Aaron Copland’s effervescent Appalachian Spring. This iconic American ballet music is preceded by Daron Hagen’s Genji, a work of Japanese-American-European fusion that the Washington Post’s Anne Midgette calls “vivid and appealing.”

Hagen: Genji, Concerto for Koto and Orchestra

Copland: Appalachian Spring, Suite for Orchestra
