Each summer, Wintergreen Performing Arts presents the Wintergreen Summer Music Festival and Academy. The 2012 Wintergreen Summer Music Festival and Academy will take place from July 6-August 5, 2012 at Wintergreen Resort in Wintergreen, Virginia.

Where would we be without all of those remarkable and innovative minds that have continually changed our lives with their creativity and their imagination? In our 2012 WSMF “look” we feature composer Ludwig van Beethoven. scientist and inventor Alexander Graham Bell, poet and playwright William Shakespeare and dancer Isadora Duncan.

Located in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, Wintergreen Performing Arts, Inc. is a non-profit organization that produces a high-quality summer music festival featuring symphonic and chamber concerts, as well as other performing arts programs throughout the year. Education is a major part of our mission, reflected both in the Wintergreen Summer Music Academy and in outreach programs for those living in the surrounding area. By attracting first-rate musicians to participate as performers and educators, we strive to enrich the lives of all--residents and visitors alike--who share the unique Wintergreen experience.
