Bassoon, Wintergreen Festival Orchestra
A versatile performer, educator and concert curator, Joseph Kluesener maintains a diverse career. Kluesener is Second Bassoonist at Wintergreen Summer Music Festival (VA), and has performed with the United States Air Force, The Phoenix Symphony, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Kentucky Symphony. Kluesener has appeared on American Public Media’s Performance Today with the ensemble he founded, Paradise Winds, whom will appear in Tokyo during late-summer of 2015. Abroad, Kluesener has performed at Aveiro International Music Festival (Portugal) and was Artist/Faculty at Saarburg Serenaden (Germany); nationally, in conferences of the International Viola Society, North American Saxophone Alliance, International Clarinet Association and the International Double Reed Society.
In 2014, Kluesener was appointed Artistic Director of Fountain Hills Chamber Players (Fountain Hills, AZ) and is co-founder and event curator for the award-winning Classical Revolution PHX.
Adjunct Faculty in the Maricopa Community College District (AZ) since 2008, Kluesener also maintains a private studio and assists with local music programs. Kluesener received a Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music from Arizona State University, and two Bachelors of Music cum laude from University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
