The Blue Ridge Mountains are a painter’s paradise, rich with the pink of mountain laurels; the blues, lavenders and purples of mountain and sky; the greens of the summer forest, turning to fire as the autumn advances; and, when the eye is weary, the subtle, stark colors of winter. But the Blue Ridge has a voice as well. The Blue Ridge speaks through mandolins and guitars; fiddles and basses; banjos and autoharps. The Blue Ridge speaks in the plaintive high lonesome tenor of the balladeer and the longing soprano sigh of the weary mountain woman. The Blue Ridge sings the story of America’s roots.

Admission is by wristband. Wristbands will be available for purchase at the WPA Ticket Booth (next to the Evans Center) beginning at 11 am. Adults - TBA. Ages 6 through 17 – TBA. Under 6 – Free
